Guys, I was just watching Thor and when it got to this part for some reason I just had this epiphany: 

Like Heimdall has been guarding the entrance to Asgard since forever basically right??

…So then that means that Heimdall MUST have been there when Odin came back after defeating Jotunheim..

And he probably SAW that Odin had a baby with him….. He knew that baby and he watched as that baby grew up …and became (to everyone else) the younger Prince of Asgard..

But Heimdall KNEW the truth..

HE KNEW WHAT LOKI REALLY WAS..
